i am a freelance writer and illustrator.  in my writing, i seek to explore the spiritual dimensions of everyday life.  Tinroof sunday, named after a favorite icecream flavor from childhood, is a gathering spot for thoughts on humanism, spiritual heroics, peacemaking, art, the reading life, addiction, motherhood, various gospels, awakenings, and all versions of love.  

it seems like life is sink or swim, and happily we’re all in the same little pool… as far as i can tell, it’s all deep end.  i believe in the power of words.  words direct thought and thought directs action.  so writing essays, crafting with words, becomes for me an act of change, each essay a tiny revolution.
